Things I'm Loving - January

Sorry this post is couple of days late but I have been bogged down with two uni assignments, one due today and one tomorrow so have been spending my life in the library! However here is a roundup of my January favourties!

1) Snow!!

Janaury has been full of snow, and as annoying as it can be it is also simply stunning. It snowed just after Christmas when my family visited Sheffield. It then snowed a couple of weeks later and then a week after that. I have been lucky enough to go to the Peak District twice in the snow and take simply stunning photographs.

2) The Collective UK yoghurts

I dedicated an entire post to reviewing these yoghurts and think I have been addicted to them this month, there is never not a pot of it in my fridge. I am currently and still loving the passionfruit flavour, but am going to buy the lemon one next. I also bought the suckies, which are excellent for on the go. Although they are designed for and aimed at kids I can still enjoy them right?!!

3) Bring Back Borstal

I saw an advert for this and thought I must watch it. It was a four part series on ITV about ex young offenders volunteering to go into a borstal like in the olden days. It was a great documentary about how they coped with the regimes of the borstal and amazing to watch the boys improve and even be offered jobs at the end of it. I would recommend anyone watch this on itvplayer.

4) Healthy January

I have absolutely loved healthy January and am glad I have stayed motivated and not given up! I am thoroughly enjoying my personal training sessions, and also the gym classes. I am loving thinking up healthy recipes to cook for myself too! I am currently writing a post on my tips for staying healthy so look out of it!

I hope in February I keep up my healthy eating and exercise and will continue to spend most my time in the library! xoxo

Things I'm Loving - December

Christmas and December are coming to a close, so now my December loving post needs to be written!

Linkee

At Christmas we always play many family games, this year our favourtie has been Linkee! This is such a great game, you can play it in teams or individually. The question master reads out 4 questions and the teams write down the answers on a piece of paper. The teams then have to come up with the link between the four answers. We have had such fun playing this game and I would recommend it to anyone who likes to play games with their family! Even Jamie Laing has tweeted about it!

Onesies

I have never managed to get a onesie that fits me, due to being short! I got a cute one for Christmas from Marks and Spencer kids section, which I wore on Christmas Day, but it isn't available online sadly! Here is my pick of my fave onesies, I think the fluffier the better!

Urban Outfitters - £50

Boohoo - £18

Very - Was £30 NOW £21

New Films Out

I have not seen any of these, but there are so many films out this month and in the New Year that I would like to see, I think a few trips to the cinema is in order, particularly as Orange Wednesday is ending soon!
IPhone 6

I treated myself to the new IPhone 6 in the middle of December as an early Christmas present to myself, I know I am a bit behind on this but my IPhone 4 no longer worked so I felt it was time for an upgrade! I love it, I love that it recognises my finger print to unlock the phone, and wow the camera is so much better, and 4G is super fast! Why did I not upgrade sooner?!

Wonder what January will bring!? xoxo

Things I'm Loving - November

This is my first Things I'm Loving post since May! Wow, how time flies, as if its December now! In June I went to America so didn't use this blog and I have been back settling into University life, and only just getting back into my blog. Now I am back and the traditional monthly posts are hopefully back too!

I moved to Uni in September for my final year and it seems to have flown by already! Time really needs to slow down. However there are a number of things I have been loving this November, and we can start to get excited for Christmas!

1) Home made soup

As seen by my recent post, I made sweet potato soup. As the clocks have changed, nights are getting darker and its colder outside, soup makes a big come back. There is nothing better than sitting on the sofa with a warming bowl of soup. Homemade soup is the best, and miles cheaper as well. My recent batch of soup used a whole bag of sweet potato that cost me 65p and made 6 large portions of soup.

I have found some other recipes to try:

Beer and cheddar soup - this sounds absolutely delicious and I cannot wait to try it. I reckon it will go down a treat with the lads!

Chicken and chorizo soup - I love chickpeas and I love chorizo, so what better than to combine this in a soup!

Chilli con carne soup - chilli con carne is such a warming winter dish, turn it into a soup and its even better! Will definitely be trying this one soon.

Roast chicken soup - now thats a good idea, turning left over roast dinner into a soup. Talk about money saving tips!

Spiced parsnip soup - I have only recently come to like parsnips, so I feel I could quite enjoy this soup. The chilli pesto sounds scrummy!

3) Alpro products

For years now I have been feeling/getting really ill after eating. It was suggested recently I cut out dairy to see if it made difference. Now I love cheese and I love chocolate, so I never thought this would happen. So far though, I have been doing alright. Alpro soya milk is surprisingly delicious on porridge. Alpro yogurt is good too, especially with a squirt of honey. I am very grateful for these products as I can still enjoy my favorite meals!

4) Winter hats

I love my bobble hat that I got a couple of years ago from H and M and wear it all the time, it kept me nice and warm at the fireworks we went to at Don Valley in Sheffield, which were amazing by the way! They synced the fireworks to music and they lasted 25 minutes, which is excellent for a local display!

I have asked for a Pomskii hat for Christmas as I love them and the big bobble on the top. They are only £25 each so an excellent Christmas present for someone and there are so many cute colours to choose from!

5) Taylor Swift

I loved Taylor's song Shake It Up and now I am addicted to Blank Space. I have asked for her album 1989 for Christmas. It's weird because when I was 17 I went to one of her first ever concerts (it was actually this time 5 years ago!!), where she sang songs like Love Story and Fifteen. Justin Bieber was her support and we watched the concert where he broke his foot on stage! Oh how times have changed!

6) I'm A Celebrity

I absolutely love this show, its such a guilty pleasure and I am so happy it started in November! I love all the trials they take part in, and I think the celebrities are really fun this year! I would like Foggy, Jake, Mel or Edwina to win - how about you?

7) The Apprentice

If I am going to mention one TV show then I have to mention this one too! The Apprentice is just too good to miss. The bitchy drama and cat fights make for excellent television and an enjoyable Wednesday night. Last weeks was the best episode by far and I am glad that James has gone, because lets be honest he was too cocky for my liking! I have no idea who will win although I do think Mark Wright is an underdog, cannot wait to watch it tonight!

Now to eat number 3 in my advent calendar and get ready for work! Happy Advent! xoxo

Things I'm Loving - May

So May draws to a close and June is round the corner! In 9 days I will be flying to America to work in Walt Disney World Florida, so June is going to be a pretty amazing month.

Now for my May favourites :)

1) Jelly Shoes

I have a pair of pink jelly shoes, which have featured on my blog. I didn't think I would wear them as much as I would. They are so comfy, I've even worn them on a night out!

Here are my favourites!

Nina Heeled Jelly Sandals - Topshop £26

Mint Green Jelly Sandals - New Look £9.99
JuJu Maxi Low Jelly Coral Exclusive - Office £20

2) Yeo Valley Yogurt

Yeo Valley yogurt was on offer in Waitrose so we decided to try them, and it was the best decision ever. The yogurt is so delicious, my three favourites are:

Greek Style with honey
Raspberry and Passion fruit
Mango and Vanilla

3) Flower Bun Holders

I have recently purchased some pretty flower bun holders, which also have featured on my blog. I think they make a messy bun look pretty.

Asos Daisy Hair Bun Holder - ASOS £6.00

Pink Floral Top Knot Hairband - New Look £2.99

Multicoloured Flower Bun Top Hair Garland - River Island £8.00
Enjoy June! :) xoxo
