The afternoon tea was called Confessions of a Chocoholic, where chocolate and art are blended together, and this was most certainly the case! The whole affair was stunning and delicious!
We started with sandwiches, a selection of salmon, ham, prawns and cucumber, I am personally not a fan of sandwiches, never have been - but I had a nibble of them!
Then the tired stand arrived, the bottom had 4 scones on it - plain, 2 raisin and 1 chocolate chip. Served with this were 3 dishes, jam, clotted cream and chocolate spread. The scones were warm, and if we did not have other delights to tuck into I could've eaten the lot!
The next layer were 4 cupcakes, we couldn't understand our waiter so did not exactly know what we were eating, but they tasted good. There was definitely a blueberry cupcake, chocolate one and pistachio one and they were all beautifully decorated in sparkles.
The top was the complete highlight, miniature delights on a art pallet/plate made of chocolate. The sweets included lemon cheesecake, chocolate cake, macaroons and also a meringue topped with sprinkles. We were so full, so our waiter boxed up the remaining sweets for us to take home - perfect!
This looks amazing, an afternoon tea but with a slight twist!
